Which Rear Shock Option Do I Need?
Important: Rear shocks do not lift your 4Runner. The lift comes from your rear coil springs. The shocks are simply designed to match your vehicle's current suspension height.
Stock Height (0–1" Lift)
Choose this option if your 4Runner:
- Has the factory suspension
- Has no lift, or only a small leveling kit
- Has approximately 0–1 inch of rear suspension lift
- Is primarily driven on the street
This shock is the correct length for stock-height vehicles and provides excellent ride quality for daily driving.
2–3" Lift
Choose this option if your 4Runner already has:
- 2–3 inches of rear suspension lift
- Aftermarket rear lift springs
- A complete suspension lift kit
This shock is longer than the stock-height version to properly match a lifted suspension. It does not add lift to your vehicle—it is designed to work with 2–3" lift springs for proper suspension travel and ride quality.
Not Sure Which One You Need?
A quick way to tell:
- Factory suspension or leveling kit? → Choose Stock Height (0–1" Lift)
- Already running a 2–3" suspension lift? → Choose 2–3" Lift
If you're still unsure, contact us before ordering and we'll help you select the correct suspension for your 4Runner.
