Designed for 2022–current Toyota Tundra owners who want a meaningful upgrade in ride quality, suspension travel, alignment capability, and trail performance without stepping into a full remote-reservoir coilover system, the ICON Stage 2 EXP package delivers a balanced, vehicle-specific suspension solution for daily driving, overland travel, and weekend trail use.

The system combines rebuildable 2.5-inch EXP front shocks with the Tundra’s factory coil springs, matched 2.0-inch aluminum rear shocks, sway-bar correction brackets, and your choice of tubular-steel or billet-aluminum front upper control arms. This Stage 2 configuration improves suspension geometry at lifted ride heights while maintaining predictable road manners and factory-like serviceability.

EXP Performance Without Replacing the Factory Springs

ICON’s EXP front shocks bridge the gap between basic spacer lifts and premium threaded-body coilovers. Their large 2.5-inch aluminum bodies provide increased oil capacity and consistent damping while reusing the original front coil springs and mounting hardware. Multiple snap-ring positions allow the front ride height to be tailored to the truck’s trim, equipment, and desired stance.

The rear of the truck receives vehicle-specific 2.0-inch aluminum monotube shocks with internal reservoirs. Their tuning complements the front EXP dampers for improved body control, reduced excess motion, and a composed ride over broken pavement, washboard roads, and moderate trail obstacles.

Tubular

The tubular configuration uses high-strength steel upper control arms with built-in caster correction. It is an excellent choice for owners who prioritize traditional off-road construction, durability, and value. Serviceable high-articulation joints help eliminate suspension bind and allow the front suspension to use its available bump and droop travel.

Wheel and Tire Guidance

  • Compatible factory wheels and tires may be retained.
  • A commonly recommended aftermarket setup is a 17 x 8.5-inch wheel with approximately 5.75 inches of backspacing and a +25 mm offset.
  • Up to 35 x 12.50-inch tires may fit with the proper wheel specifications; minor trimming or other vehicle-specific modifications may be required.
  • Final tire clearance must be checked at full steering lock and throughout the complete suspension travel range.
