Unlike Stage 3, the Stage 4 system steps up to 2.5 Series remote-reservoir rear shocks, increasing oil and gas volume to help manage heat during demanding off-road use and extended rough-terrain driving.

Choose Your Rear Spring Setup

Selecting the correct rear springs is important. Choose based on the weight your Tacoma normally carries, not simply the heaviest spring available.

Stock Rear Springs — 0 lb Added Load
Best for Tacomas that remain close to factory rear weight. This is the appropriate choice for daily-driven trucks without significant permanent cargo, bumpers, campers, drawer systems, or other heavy accessories.

Triple-Rate Rear Springs — Variable Load
Best for trucks that regularly see changing loads. The triple-rate design provides a progressive response that works well for owners who may drive relatively light during the week but add camping equipment, recovery gear, cargo, or other weight for trips.

Overland Rear Springs — 600 lb Constant Load
Designed for heavily equipped overland Tacomas carrying approximately 600 lb of constant additional rear weight. This option is intended for permanent equipment such as campers, bed racks, drawer systems, auxiliary fuel/water, heavy bumpers, recovery equipment, and similar accessories.

Important: Do not choose the 600 lb constant-load spring simply because it is the "heaviest-duty" option. A spring designed around substantial constant weight can produce an unnecessarily firm ride when installed on an unloaded truck.

Choose Your Upper Control Arms

Tubular Delta Joint Pro

ICON's tubular UCA provides the suspension geometry and articulation benefits required for the upgraded suspension while using a strong tubular-steel construction.

Choose this option if you want the performance benefits of ICON's Delta Joint Pro UCA while keeping the overall system price lower.

Billet Delta Joint Pro

The Billet Delta Joint Pro UCA provides the premium version of the Stage 4 system, featuring ICON's machined billet construction.

Choose this option if you want ICON's higher-end UCA construction and finish in addition to the suspension performance of Stage 4.

Both configurations use ICON's Delta Joint Pro design and are intended to complement the increased travel and geometry requirements of the suspension system.

Stage 4 vs. Stage 3

The major reason to step up to Stage 4 is the rear shock package.

Stage 3 uses ICON 2.0 Series rear shocks, while Stage 4 upgrades the rear to ICON 2.5 Series remote-reservoir shocks. The larger shock body and external reservoir provide greater fluid capacity and improved heat management, making Stage 4 better suited to customers who spend more time driving aggressively off-road, traveling over sustained rough terrain, or carrying an overland-oriented build.

If your Tacoma sees significant trail and overland use and you want more suspension capability before moving into ICON's higher stages with additional adjustability, Stage 4 is the logical upgrade.

Fitment can vary by drivetrain, trim, factory equipment, and vehicle configuration. Verify compatibility before installation.
