Upgrade your 2022-current Toyota Tundra with balanced street comfort, improved trail control, and greater rear-shock heat capacity. The ICON Stage 5 2.5 suspension system combines vehicle-specific front coilovers, upgraded upper control arms, sway-bar correction, and rear remote-reservoir shocks. It is designed for drivers who want a refined daily ride with dependable performance during weekend trail use and repeated rough-road driving.

Stage 5 performance upgrade

Stage 5 builds on the Stage 4 platform by replacing the standard rear dampers with remote-reservoir rear shocks. The reservoirs increase oil capacity and cooling surface area, helping the shocks maintain more consistent damping as temperatures rise during washboard roads, long trail sections, and repeated suspension cycling.

Vehicle-specific front suspension

The 2.5 Series front coilovers use Tundra-specific shock lengths and valving to improve body control, ride quality, and suspension response. Their larger shock bodies and pistons provide greater damping capability than the factory components while supporting an adjustable front ride height and room for larger wheel-and-tire combinations.

Rear remote-reservoir control

Matched 2.0 Series aluminum rear remote-reservoir shocks improve heat dissipation and fade resistance compared with non-reservoir rear shocks. They are tuned to work with the front coilovers for predictable handling, better control over uneven terrain, and a composed ride on pavement.

Choose your upper-control-arm construction

Tubular: Heavy-duty tubular steel upper control arms offer excellent strength, durability, and performance value. Built-in geometry correction supports improved alignment and drivability at lifted ride heights. Typical gasoline-engine front lift range is approximately 2–3.5 inches.

Billet: Precision-machined billet aluminum upper control arms add premium construction, corrosion-resistant finishes, and convenient on-vehicle camber and caster adjustment. Typical gasoline-engine front lift range is approximately 1.25–3.5 inches.

Lift and tire fitment

  • Designed to accommodate tires up to approximately 35x12.50 inches with properly selected wheels
  • Minor trimming or other modifications may be required depending on wheel offset, tire dimensions, alignment, and ride height
  • Hybrid models generally achieve less front lift because of additional vehicle weight
  • TRD Sport and TRD Pro models begin at different factory ride heights, so measured lift will vary
  • Rear shocks support approximately 0–1.5 inches of rear lift on standard rear-coil models and approximately 0–1 inch on TRD-equipped models

Best use

This system is an excellent match for premium daily drivers and weekend trail builds that need dependable damping and better heat management. It retains the factory rear coil springs, so it is not a dedicated constant-heavy-load suspension package and does not increase the truck’s factory payload, GVWR, towing, or axle ratings.

Important installation notes

  • Not compatible with factory load-leveling rear air suspension or Adaptive Variable Suspension
  • Some four-wheel-drive trucks without the TRD Off-Road package may require driveline correction
  • Vehicles equipped with the factory TRD aluminum skid plate may require additional spacer hardware
  • Professional installation, a complete alignment, and recalibration of applicable driver-assistance systems are strongly recommended
