What Is CDXS?
ICON's Compression Damping eXtreme Select (CDXS) technology takes suspension adjustability beyond the traditional single compression adjuster.
CDXS allows high-speed and low-speed compression damping to be adjusted independently, with 10 settings available for each.
This gives you much more control over how your Tacoma's suspension responds to different types of terrain and driving conditions.
Low-Speed Compression
Low-speed compression adjustment primarily affects slower suspension movements such as:
-
Body roll
-
Brake dive
-
Weight transfer
-
Cornering
-
Gradual terrain changes
Increasing low-speed compression can provide a firmer and more controlled feel without necessarily making the suspension overly harsh over sharp impacts.
High-Speed Compression
High-speed compression adjustment affects faster shock movements caused by impacts such as:
-
Potholes
-
Rocks
-
Washboard roads
-
Sharp trail impacts
-
Faster off-road terrain
This allows you to tune impact control separately from the Tacoma's general handling characteristics.
CDXS vs. CDCV
Stage 6 CDCV
-
One compression damping adjuster
-
10 compression settings
-
Adjusts overall compression damping
Stage 6 CDXS
-
Independent low-speed compression adjustment
-
Independent high-speed compression adjustment
-
10 settings for each adjuster
-
Greater control over suspension behavior
Choose CDXS if you want more precise suspension tuning and the ability to adjust how your Tacoma responds to body movement separately from sharper off-road impacts.
