ICON - Stage 6 Suspension System – Toyota Tacoma 2024–Current
ICON - Stage 6 Suspension System
Take your 2024+ Toyota Tacoma suspension to the next level with the ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 6 Suspension System. Stage 6 combines ICON's high-performance 2.5 Series remote reservoir shocks with CDEV electronic damping control, upgraded Delta Joint Pro upper control arms, and rear spring options designed around how your Tacoma is actually used.
This is an excellent choice for Tacoma owners looking for a premium suspension system capable of handling daily driving, high-speed dirt roads, technical trails, and fully equipped overland builds while retaining excellent on-road manners.
The biggest advantage of Stage 6 is ICON CDEV electronically controlled damping. Rather than relying solely on manually adjusted shocks, the system can continuously manage damping characteristics to provide greater control as terrain and driving conditions change.
What's Included
Every Stage 6 configuration includes the core ICON suspension components:
- ICON 2.5 Series front coilovers with remote reservoirs and CDEV
- ICON 2.5 Series rear remote reservoir shocks with CDEV
- ICON Intelligent Control (IIC) system / installation components
- Front differential drop kit
- ICON Delta Joint Pro upper control arms
- Choice of Tubular or Billet upper control arms
- Your selected rear spring configuration
- Application-specific installation hardware
The exact components vary according to the rear spring and UCA configuration selected.
Choose Your Rear Spring
We've organized the Stage 6 system into three rear-spring configurations so you can match the suspension to your Tacoma's actual load.
Stock Rear Springs — 0 lb Added Load
Best for: Daily driving, weekend trail use, and Tacomas that remain close to factory weight.
This configuration retains the factory rear springs while upgrading the shocks and the rest of the Stage 6 suspension system.
Choose this if you do not carry significant permanent weight in the rear of the truck and don't need an upgraded rear coil spring.
Recommended for:
Daily drivers • Lightly modified trucks • Weekend trail rigs • Factory-weight Tacomas
Triple-Rate Rear Springs — Variable Load
Best for: Trucks whose cargo weight regularly changes.
The ICON triple-rate rear spring configuration is the more versatile choice when your Tacoma may be unloaded during the week but carry camping equipment, tools, recovery equipment, or additional cargo on trips.
Unlike a constant-load spring intended around permanent weight, the triple-rate setup is designed to work across a changing load range.
Recommended for:
Daily driving + camping • Variable cargo • Weekend overlanding • Multipurpose builds
Important: “Variable Load” does not represent a specific fixed payload rating. It describes the spring's ability to accommodate changing vehicle loads. Vehicle payload limits established by Toyota still apply.
Overland Rear Springs — 600 lb Constant Load
Best for: Heavily equipped Tacomas carrying approximately 600 lb of constant additional weight.
This is the configuration for dedicated overland builds where substantial equipment remains installed on the truck most or all of the time.
Examples may include:
- Bed racks
- Camper systems
- Rooftop tents
- Drawers/storage systems
- Recovery equipment
- Tools
- Auxiliary fuel/water equipment
- Other permanently installed accessories
Do not select the 600 lb spring simply because you occasionally carry heavy cargo. It is intended for trucks carrying substantial constant weight. An unloaded or lightly loaded Tacoma may ride firmer with this configuration.
Tubular vs. Billet Delta Joint Pro UCAs
After selecting your rear spring, choose your preferred ICON upper control arm.
Tubular Delta Joint Pro
The Tubular Delta Joint Pro UCA provides the suspension geometry and articulation benefits needed for lifted applications in a strong tubular-steel design.
Best choice for: Customers who want Stage 6 performance without paying the premium for billet construction.
Billet Delta Joint Pro
The Billet Delta Joint Pro UCA provides the premium version of ICON's upper control arm system with CNC-machined billet construction.
Best choice for: Customers building a top-tier Tacoma suspension package who want ICON's premium UCA construction and appearance.
Both configurations use ICON's Delta Joint Pro technology.
Stage 6 Variant Guide
| Your Tacoma Setup | Recommended Rear Spring |
|---|---|
| Factory weight / little permanent cargo | Stock Rear Springs — 0 lb Added Load |
| Weight changes depending on trip/cargo | Triple-Rate — Variable Load |
| Approximately 600 lb permanently installed | Overland — 600 lb Constant Load |
Once you've selected the appropriate spring, choose Tubular or Billet Delta Joint Pro UCAs.
This gives you six available Stage 6 configurations:
Stock + Tubular
Stock + Billet
Triple-Rate + Tubular
Triple-Rate + Billet
600 lb Overland + Tubular
600 lb Overland + Billet
Why Choose ICON Stage 6?
Stage 6 moves beyond a conventional performance suspension package by incorporating ICON's electronically controlled damping technology.
The system is designed to provide:
- Premium on-road ride quality
- Increased suspension control
- Improved off-road performance
- Remote reservoir shock capacity
- CDEV electronically controlled damping
- Improved front suspension geometry
- Increased suspension articulation
- Rear spring configurations for different vehicle builds
- A complete matched ICON suspension system
Instead of assembling unrelated suspension components, you're getting a system engineered around the Tacoma as a complete package.
Fitment
Vehicle: Toyota Tacoma
Model Years: 2024–Current
Generation: 4th Generation Tacoma
Fitment can vary based on drivetrain, trim, factory equipment, and vehicle configuration. Verify vehicle compatibility before ordering.
Before You Order
The most important decision is your rear spring selection.
Choose Stock Rear Springs if your Tacoma stays near factory weight.
Choose Triple-Rate Rear Springs if your load frequently changes.
Choose 600 lb Constant Load Overland Springs only if your Tacoma carries substantial permanent rear weight.
After that, simply select whether you prefer Tubular or Billet Delta Joint Pro upper control arms.
This structure should dramatically reduce the chance of a customer ordering the wrong Stage 6 configuration.
