The Tough Terrain KING 2.5 Premium Suspension System combines KING 2.5 remote-reservoir front coilovers and rear shocks with Camburg performance upper control arms, ICON billet rear lower links, and your choice of ICON rear coil springs.
Instead of forcing every Tacoma into the same spring configuration, we offer two clearly defined setups based on how you actually use and load your truck.

Choose Your Rear Spring Setup
Daily + Trail / Standard Weight – Triple Rate
Best for: Daily-driven Tacomas, weekend trail use, and trucks that do not carry significant permanent additional weight.
Includes the ICON 51213 Triple Rate Rear Coil Spring Kit.
The triple-rate spring design provides multiple stages of spring progression, allowing the suspension to remain compliant during normal driving while progressively increasing support as the suspension moves deeper into its travel.
Choose this option if your Tacoma is:
- Primarily a daily driver
- Used for weekend trail runs
- Stock or moderately equipped
- Not carrying substantial permanent rear weight
- Expected to balance street comfort with off-road performance
Rear Springs: ICON 51213
Overland / Constant Added Weight – Overland Springs
Best for: Tacomas carrying substantial permanent or near-permanent additional rear weight.
Includes the ICON 51215 Overland Rear Coil Spring Kit, designed for heavier vehicle configurations where additional equipment remains installed on the truck.
Choose this option if your Tacoma regularly carries equipment such as:
- Bed racks
- Rooftop or bed-mounted tents
- Rear bumpers
- Spare tire carriers
- Drawers and storage systems
- Recovery equipment
- Camping equipment
- Other significant permanent overland weight
This configuration provides the additional spring support needed by a consistently loaded Tacoma.
Rear Springs: ICON 51215
Important: Don't select the Overland configuration simply because you occasionally carry cargo. If your Tacoma normally operates near stock or moderate weight, choose Daily + Trail / Standard Weight. The Overland configuration is intended for trucks carrying substantial added weight on a regular basis.
KING 2.5 Remote Reservoir Suspension
At the heart of this package are KING's 2.5-inch diameter front coilovers and rear shocks.
Remote reservoirs increase fluid capacity and help manage shock temperatures during demanding driving, while the external adjusters allow the suspension's damping characteristics to be fine-tuned for different terrain, loads, and driving preferences.
This makes the system equally at home on a properly equipped daily-driven Tacoma or a serious off-road/overland build.
Camburg Performance Upper Control Arms
The included Camburg Uniball Upper Control Arms replace the factory upper arms with a performance-oriented design intended to complement upgraded suspension travel and geometry.
Rather than treating UCAs as an optional afterthought on a premium suspension package, they're included as part of the complete system.
ICON Billet Rear Lower Links
The factory rear lower links are upgraded with the ICON Billet Rear Lower Link Kit.
These premium rear suspension links complement the upgraded shocks and springs while strengthening and refining the Tacoma's rear suspension package.
This is one of the components that separates this Tough Terrain Premium package from a basic shock-and-spring lift kit.
