The Tough Terrain KING 2.5 Premium Suspension System is designed for Tacoma owners who want substantially more than a basic shock-and-spring upgrade while keeping the package focused on the suspension components that matter most.
Choose between Daily + Trail / Standard Weight and Overland / Constant Added Weight based on how your Tacoma is actually equipped and how much permanent weight it carries.

The KING shocks, Camburg upper control arms, and ICON billet rear lower links remain the same between configurations. Only the rear spring package changes based on the setup you select.
Choose Your Rear Suspension Setup
Daily + Trail / Standard Weight – Triple Rate
Choose Daily + Trail for a Tacoma that normally operates near standard or moderately equipped vehicle weight.
This configuration includes the ICON Triple Rate Rear Coil Spring Kit and is the best choice for customers balancing everyday drivability with trail and recreational off-road use.
Recommended for:
- Daily-driven Tacomas
- Weekend trail use
- Recreational off-roading
- Stock or moderately equipped trucks
- Camping and occasional cargo
- Trucks without substantial permanent rear weight
The triple-rate rear spring design provides progressive support through the suspension's travel while maintaining a configuration appropriate for a Tacoma that isn't carrying a heavy permanent load.
Choose Daily + Trail if substantial additional rear weight does not stay on your truck all the time.
Overland / Constant Added Weight – Overland Springs
Choose Overland for a Tacoma carrying substantial additional rear weight on a permanent or near-permanent basis.
This configuration replaces the standard-weight rear spring package with ICON Overland Rear Coil Springs designed for heavier vehicle configurations.
Recommended for trucks regularly equipped with items such as:
- Camper systems
- Bed racks
- Rooftop or bed-mounted tents
- Heavy aftermarket rear bumpers
- Spare tire carriers
- Drawer and storage systems
- Recovery equipment
- Permanently carried tools
- Spare fuel and water
- Other substantial overland equipment
The purpose of this configuration is to provide additional rear spring support for a Tacoma whose normal operating weight has been significantly increased by installed equipment.
Important: Do not select Overland simply because you occasionally carry passengers, camping equipment, or cargo. If the additional weight isn't normally on the truck, select Daily + Trail / Standard Weight.
KING 2.5 Remote-Reservoir Suspension
At the center of the system are KING 2.5 front coilovers and rear shocks with remote reservoirs and compression adjustment.
The remote-reservoir design increases fluid capacity and provides additional heat-management capability during demanding suspension use.
External compression adjusters also allow damping characteristics to be tuned to suit different terrain, vehicle setups, and driver preferences.
By using KING 2.5 suspension at both ends of the Tacoma, the system maintains a consistent premium damping platform from front to rear.
Camburg Performance Upper Control Arms
The system includes Camburg Performance Uniball Upper Control Arms in place of the factory upper arms.
These performance-oriented UCAs complement the upgraded KING front suspension and make the upper control arm upgrade part of the complete package rather than an additional component the customer needs to purchase separately.
ICON Billet Rear Lower Links
The rear suspension is further upgraded with ICON Billet Rear Lower Links.
Rather than stopping with rear shocks and springs, this Premium package upgrades a major rear suspension locating component as part of the overall system.
Combined with the KING rear shocks and selected ICON rear springs, the billet lower links create a more comprehensive rear suspension package than a conventional shock-and-spring upgrade.
Daily + Trail or Overland?
The choice comes down primarily to permanent vehicle weight.
Choose Daily + Trail / Standard Weight if:
Your Tacoma normally operates near standard or moderately equipped weight and sees a combination of street driving, trails, camping, and recreational off-road use.
Choose Overland / Constant Added Weight if:
Your Tacoma carries substantial equipment that remains installed during normal operation and creates meaningful additional rear weight.
If you're unsure because the truck only carries heavy equipment occasionally, Daily + Trail is generally the appropriate configuration.
Fitment
Toyota Tacoma 2024–Current
Designed for compatible 4th-generation Toyota Tacoma applications.
Vehicle configuration, trim, installed equipment, wheel and tire combination, and other modifications can affect final suspension setup and clearance.
Professional installation and a complete alignment are recommended after installation.
A Premium Front-to-Rear Tacoma Suspension Package
The KING 2.5 Premium Suspension System is positioned between a conventional lift kit and our more extensive Ultimate suspension packages.
It combines:

Choose Daily + Trail for a primarily standard-weight Tacoma or Overland for a truck carrying substantial permanent rear equipment.
